Bad news/good news

Our trusty little kiln has had a chequered career. We adopted it when it was 25 years old and it gave us good service for two years.
Sadly, it's been suffering from old age and getting slower and slower - very similar to us.
Since last November it's been struggling, with the odd successful firing interspersed with injections of cash, as dodgy switches and fried elements have added up to quite a sum.
We gave it one more chance, but this week it blew its last element.
We've ordered a brand new replacement. It can't get here soon enough, as we have a shed full of pots waiting to be fired.
It should take just over a week and we'll be posting photos of the latest pots - some of which were made as far back as March and patiently waiting for their turn in the kiln.
We can't wait.
